Spring has arrived!

Who wouldn't want to be in Cullen on a day like today?  It was beautiful even if it was a little chilly!  My parents had a walk from Cullen to Portknockie at the weekend and saw the dolphins very close to the shore.  I'm very jealous as after over 1 1/2 years of spending most weekends there I've still not seen them!  Maybe it's because we never have time to enjoy the town - hopefully by Easter we will.

The town has a real buzz when the weather is good.  There was even a queue half way down the street on Sunday at the ice-cream shop!

We are also water-tight at last!  Blockwork and slating is done and the new velux lets lots of light into the kitchen.  We can now get going with the inside - insulation, pipework, plasterboard, finished!

Slow progress!

The teaspoons are from Deskford Galleries

Wobbly banister gone!

Don't look at the garden Dad!

I am frustrated at the slow progress of the build at the moment!  The weather has not been good and I've been at home with 2 boys on snow days!   It is now coming together though and the builder has started to brick up the walls.

We were supposed to be at Anfield to see Liverpool play West Brom this half term holiday but there has been a problem with the tickets and we are now spending the weekend in Cullen.  Probably a good thing as there are lots of little things for us to finish off.  I think I'll need my thermals on!

I've been doing some vintage shopping again!  I bought a teapot for £1 on ebay - 1p more than my sofa!!  I also bought cutlery from the Cullen Antiques Centre and a lovely tea set from a Valentine Vintage fair at Nina's Apartment.
